The Achilliane therms are underground spa facilities of the Roman Empire. Their name comes from a Greek language inscription found on a marble plate, survived in six major fragments.
The actual size of the original structure is not known; today only a small part under Piazza del Duomo can be visited and it is accessible through a long corridor with a barrel vault, originally covered with marble.
