Adrano

Adrano extends on the slopes of Mount Etna , and it is entirely within the area of Mount Etna Park. It owes its name to The Old Dionysius of Syracuse , who founded Adranon to expand the power of Syracuse . There are several monuments (religious and not) deserving to be visited and the most important are: the Teatro Bellini , with a nice facade in Art Nouveau style, the Church of St. Lucia , which is part of the homonymous monastery founded in 1158 , and the Mother Church , dedicated to the Virgin, with many artworks.
