Belpasso

Belpasso is a place of great cultural interest for its history: the original settlement called Malpasso was covered by lava in 1669; it was rebuilt in a lower position and called Fenicia Moncada. It was built again in the same place with the current name in 1965, with a grid pattern, a beautiful mother Church and examples of the 18th century art of Vaccarini. Today it is a remarkable center for the production of olives, almonds , prickly pears and fine grapes.
