Biscari Palace

Palazzo Biscari is the most important private building in Catania. Wanted by the prince of Biscari Ignazio Paternò Castello III after the earthquake in 1693, the palace underwent several changes during the 18th century. The golden period of the palace was after the intervention of Ignazio V the prince of Biscari. On the external façade there are seven windows decorated in the baroque style. The interior is richly furnished following the rococo style. The most important rooms are the party room, the feuds room and the apartments of the princess.

Accessibility
The main entrance has architectural barriers. A secondary entrance is provided for the access of visitors in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility. The facility is equipped with rest areas and 4 accessible toilets. There are two parking areas for disabled.
