Technopark “Archimedes”

The Technopark “Archimedes” is a site of great historical and scientific interest for those who wish to discover the cultural milestones in Syracuse and is an interesting opportunity for schools to combine direct observation and scientific theory to their skills learned at school. Near the Neapolis Archaeological Park, about 200 meters from the Greek theater, you can relax in a green area, to enjoy your time surrounded by science, Archimedes signs, history and culture and to relive the past of Syracuse and your school memories.
The Technopark is open from March to September, from 9.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.; it is closed from October to February. The ticket price is 6 € (€ 3 reduced-price).
INFO: The Technopark, has an accessible toilet, yet it has architectural barriers that do not allow the easy entry of visitors with mobility problems; an alternative accessible entrance is provided, it is visible enough and signs show the way to the visitor. The Technopark, has two parking places for the disabled in the area near the entrance and provides an online booking system with special reservation cards that collect information about any visitors’ special needs. A priority queue is reserved to visitors with reduced mobility and there is a reception area with counter and equipment (ex.stands) at a height suitable to visitors in wheelchairs. In the exhibition spaces and through the visit parking areas and signs are provided. Maps and brochures inform and guide visitors.
