The Cathedral Of Saint Peter Apostole

Renovated after the earthquake of 1693 by the master builders Mario Spata and Rosario Boscarino, since 1697 the Cathedral of Saint Peter Apostole has been the second most important place of worship in Modica. It is located in the heart of the lowest part of the town and features a unique and lavish baroque style, surrounded by elegant palaces and monasteries.

Accessibility
The Cathedral of Saint Peter Apostole has an accessible entrance with lift, from Via Clemente Grimaldi.


Useful information
The church is open every day from 9am to 12 and from 4pm to 8 pm. The Mass is celebrated on Sunday at 10.30am and 6pm.
